Do not take over my Ocean!!!
The one good thing about living in the OC is that everything is pretty much where we want it. The Ocean, the shopping, the theaters, downtown, for god’s sake a Starbucks on every corner. With that said, I can honestly say that is enough. It is pretty much all available whenever we need it, however, lately I have come to the conclusion that this miserable person that I have become is seriously not happy. I spend almost every weekend at the beach, it is probably my favorite place, I can stare into the ocean for hours, listening to the waves crash on the shore, feeling the cool misty breeze on my face and not caring if my hair is a matted mess. Soaking the sun up with every inch of my skin and suffering the consequences later in the evening. It used to be a sacred place, but not anymore. The beach has become an overcrowded disturbance to the simple minded kind of person, noisy children and unpleasantly dressed adults comb the trash lined sandy stretch, not to mention the radios that blare out ridiculous noise pollution. Main streets are always crowded with saggy pantsed houdlums and trash talking, beer sucking, smoke inhailing low lives. This is not right, gone are the days where walking down the peer with an ice cream in your hand was novelty, now, all you see is beach missfits slashing the guts of the tiny fish they catch off the rails ( and they’re not even big enough to take home). What a shame, so you see the OC is not just for the flashy, it’s home to everyone and anyone who can afford to be low class.
