I recently had my CA Drivers Licence renewed, I must say, it was a pleasant experience. For many years now the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) has gotten a bad rap.  Let me tell you, you need to make an on-line appointment!!!! This, my friends, is the only way you are guaranteed a speedy visit to the place most people refer to as the Circus, Zoo, Hell, whatever.  This institution is seriously ridiculous, the lines are long, there are a million numbered windows, people are rude and to top it off, if you do not have an appointment, you MUST take a number.  Sometimes the wait is hours long, I honestly would not consider even driving by without an appointment.  So my scheduled appointment was at 9:40 A.M., I checked in, filled out some paperwork, passed an eye exam and took my new picture, all of this in a record breaking 20 minutes.  Wow, what a rush, when small things like this one make a person happy, I think it’s time for a vacation.  The best part of this whole thing was the fact that I did not stress over anything and my new DL was in my mailbox 5 days later.
