Dark Night rakes in the cash, but is Batman done for good.

The numbers are in, $ 158.3 million, that my friends is an all time breaking record for grand opening weekend at the box office.  The truth is, had Heath Ledger not died, this movie would have attracted half as many people due to the fact that comic heros (Batman) have been so played out.  No doubt Ledger was a great actor and his portrayal of the Joker amazing, pretty morbid if you ask me, however, we all want to see those last great performances don’t we.   It is actually pretty distorted to watch this movie, and in the back of my mind thinking that part of the reason this poor guy was suffering from insomnia was due to the portrayal of his role. I would be pretty freaked out as well if I had to play the Joker, not to mention wear that hidious clown makeup.  If you notice, every Batman movie out there has only one to two villians at a time, does that mean we are destined to see more Batman flicks in the future?  I don’t think I can handle it.  If I had my pick on the whole actor/Batman part I would definitely stick with Clooney.  George is a Batman all around, I don’t care much for Robin, he seems too childish for me.  As far is Ledger is concerned, it saddens me to know that he has passed, at least his legacy remains in his daughter and brought millions in revenue.  The last one is a sarcastic remark!
