How I escaped a traffic violation
If you are a health care professional or in the dental industry, make sure you always wear your scrubs to and from work. The other day as I was driving home from work, I did not notice the cop on the motorbike hiding in the center divider on Bastanchury Rd. For all those who are familiar with the city of Fullerton, CA, Bastanchury Rd. is almost like a freeway, at 50 MPH you cannot go wrong. Well I was wrong, this is the second time in my 11 years driving that I was stopped by a cop. I pulled into a residential street and awaited my sentence. When the cop approached me, I was relieved to see that he was a young one, he was very polite and did not hound me on how fast I was going. My son was in the car, so I felt bad because I did not want him to think that I was a reckless driver. This kind cop noticed I was in uniform, and with my dosimeter ( x- still recording badge) still on, he became even friendlier. He acknowledged the fact that I must have had a long day at work and that I was probably tired and could not wait until I got home. I was really quiet and answered when I was spoken to, I tried not to piss him off. Well, I got lucky, he worned me about my speed and just gave me a fix it ticket fot not beeing current on my proof of insurance. I truly believe that being in uniform saved my tail.
