Portion Control This!
For the past two days I have been decreasing my meal portions due to the added pounds this past Holiday weekend brought on. Let me tell you, If you are not strong willed, due not try this at home. Portion control is a very straight edge discipline that needs to be slowly learned, going hungry is not fun. Some of you may think that not eating until the body is satisfied may be crazy, however, in order to lose weight you need the decrease in calories. So stock up on vegetable platters and forget eating what you are used to. I have dropped 10lb in two weeks, however, I have done it the healthy way, if you know you have eaten three healthy smaller meals and you are hungry at the end of the night, you know you will not starve. Your body needs to get used to eating less, and that is basically why it thinks it’s hungry. Stick with it! I have a mental picture of what I want to look like in two months, it may not be a size 0 or even a 6, however, I want to look good and feel good. Vanity has nothing to do with this, I want to be able to buy a cute outfit and wear it with my chin held high. I also want to make sure my arteries function properly, and the only way to do that is to be in s heslthy target weight. The heart work twice as faster with even 5lb of extra weight, can you imagine 20 +? So as the days go by and I go hungry, I think to myself, it’s only for the best!
