Cancelling my trip to Italy…again
I recently had to cancel my plans to go to Italy this November due to the increasingly decreasingly economy status. This is the third time this year I had to cancel this trip, in the mean time my Grandmother whom recides in Italy is 95 years old and not getting any younger. I am slowly thinking this is never going to happen, I really don’t want to dip into my savings, and I really need to pay for my four thousand dollar property taxes. So another year and no vacation, I really need one though, but with my work schedule, my son and my family life, there really isn’t any time, and with the prospect of purchasing another home, I really don’t see this happening. Supposedly fuel charges on major airlines have gone down, however, pricing for thickets is still kinda high, and the thought of taking a two year old on a 15 hour direct flight, is pretty frightning. I sometimes wish I never left the Italian country side, maybe the struggles would be less if I had less. All I know is that I need a vacation, and I need one now! But as far as Italy is concerned, that is going to have to wait.
