Maybe the whole tv show about the OC and the real housewives of the OC have made this county spectacular, but realistic it definitely isn’t.  I just received the bill for my property taxes, and for all you non OCers, you are lucky.  Every year we get an assessment of about two percent, so here we go again, my taxes are about three hundred dollars higher tha last year.  This may not sound like much, but when you put in in perspective it is.  In this economy that is going straight to hell, the inflation of everything including bread and milk, we cannot afford it.  When I say we, it means all of us down here in the OC, my taxes total up tp a whopping $ 5,000.00 a year, that is a lot.  Too much for someone who works only part time and has to also mke a two thousand dollar monthly mortgage, not to mention save, insurance and the most important…savig for the child’s education.  It’s a nightmare here in the OC, businessess and retailers take advantage of  that as well, honestly for us tax payers, what is the money I so eagerly dish out each year to live down here give us?  I mean, this county reported bankruptcy not so long ago, how? We all bleed through our nose in taxes, I don’t get it, however, the facinating part of where I live is that, there is no trash on the streets, no low class on the streets, and if there is they are quick to leave by the dirty looks the community gives, the beaches are conveniently all around you and shopping is great! So besides that, you are not missing much, I think sticking to the TV shows is much better!
