Taking the Christ out of Christmas
Then we have Happy Holidays. How sad, when you really think about it He was the reason for this wonderful time of year. His birth is the reason why we are here, if many cannot see it, then what is the poinjt to this Holiday. Retailers, the media and many people have made this Blessed day about gifts. Why must we teach our childrenthat Christmas is about gifts? Back when Jesus was born, they had no money to buy gifts, hence the Three Magi, honestly, I am part of the problem, it wasn’t until recent when I realized that we Americans blow this out of porportion. Back in the Old Country (Italy), we used to walk around the house at midnight on Christmas eve , carrying the baby Jesus figurine and singing Christmas songs and then placing Him in his Nativity. Ever since I left Italy, I left a piece of that with it. See, we mostly have Christianity/ Catholicism but here in the states, we have way too many religioins that are actually Cults instead of spiritual poeople, and that is why we cannot have God on the dollar bills or in our Pledge of Alliagence. Shame on you! I spit in your face you Athiest, You will parish when the time is right, for taking the joy out of a beautiful thing like Jesus Christ. Amen!
